Abolishing the Death Penalty

Brandon Bernard should be alive💔. Currently the US has 2,620 people on death row. The death penalty should never be an option regardless of the crimes committed. The US is 1 of only 20 countries in the world that still allows the death penalty and currently has 4 EXECUTIONS SCHEDULED for January 2021. Work needs to be done. We have the opportunity to change the course of history for many lives currently on death row. Change is possible!👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾⠀

WAYS TO HELP⠀
➡️ Capital Punishment is still legal in 28 states. Find your NCADP affiliate at npadp.org and stay current on state legislation.⠀
➡️ Remember that death row inmates are fellow humans. Share their literature, stories and interviews in order to help people understand the humanity beyond the crimes committed.⠀
➡️ Capital Punishment is active in 5 US states. Write legislators and press publications using templates provided by @ejusa⠀
➡️ Capital Punishment is irreversible and mistakes happen. Since 1973, more than 160 prisoners sent to death row in the U.S. have later been exonerated or released from death row on grounds of innocence. Donate @amnesty to support the continued advocating for the end of capital punishment.⠀
