When three-time Radvocate, Elizabeth Banks, wanted to make a statement about sustainability at the 2020 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, she called RAD.  Her stylists, Wendi and Nicole, worked with Badgley Mischka to update the same glamorous red dress Elizabeth wore to the same glamorous red carpet in 2004.

Elizabeth used her massive platform to not only show fans and followers that re-wearing a beautiful dress is chic and modern, but that sustainability is an issue that affects us all and deserves global attention. RAD partnered her with New Standard Institute to advocate for their work across three pillars: first, that a company should map its supply chain and get to know its factories (you’d be surprised how many brands don’t know where their clothes are made); second, it should measure its current performance and conduct a Life Cycle Assessment of its products; and third, it should set public targets for improving those practices and reducing its impact.

Transparent. Glamorous. RAD.

We invite all fashion brands to BE RAD by taking the pledge to sustainability here.
