TRAVIS SCOTT is joining us in activating his RAD Impact Award to provide several Waymon Webster scholarships to empower and enrich deserving students at HBCUs through his Cactus Jack Foundation.
"Receiving this RAD Impact Award is dope because it’s simply for the fact of helping someone get to the next point or it’s simply just being. I never thought I’d be recognized for something like this," said Travis.
Travis chose Raquel Simpson, a second-year student at Howard University, as his Honoree and the first recipient in this series of scholarships. The Cactus Jack Foundation believes the youth should not be prevented from attaining their lifetime goal and is committed to extending educational opportunities to all, regardless of their circumstances to achieve their dreams.
"So all I want you to do is to just keep going hard at what you’re doing, keep inspiring the world, keep inspiring other young Black females around the globe like you just to get them to the next step. That’s just one of the most important things out of life. Make us all proud. Make yourself proud. Make your mom proud. I love you so much and keep doing this. I’m so excited to do this with you,” said Travis as he shared his RAD Impact Award with Raquel.
