Women's Health Protection Act

Changes in state and federal laws made 2019 a volatile year for women's health with increased restrictions to healthcare access and services. We MUST fight for our rights. And that starts with VOTING.⠀
⠀
2020 is THE election year. If we want to change the laws that govern our bodies and our access to healthcare, we must change the policymakers. VOTING is EVERYTHING.⠀
⠀
The health of women and girls is of particular concern because, in many societies, they are disadvantaged by discrimination rooted in sociocultural factors. ⠀
⠀
Some factors that prevent women and girls to benefit from quality health services and attaining the best possible level of health include:⠀
⠀
-Unequal power relationships between men and women;⠀
-Social norms that decrease education and paid employment opportunities;⠀
-An exclusive focus on women’s reproductive roles; and⠀
-Potential or actual experience of physical, sexual and emotional violence. ⠀
⠀
Tell your legislator to #ActForWomen and support the Women's Health Protection Act TODAY. #radvocacy
