#Vote4theFuture Social Unity Campaign

 
 

#Vote4theFuture is a nonpartisan social unity campaign created by Inaugural Youth Poet Laureate of the United States, Amanda Gorman, in partnership with RAD, which called upon Americans to vote in the November 2020 election. It features readings of Amanda’s poem, “Vote 4 the Future,” by Oprah Winfrey, Tessa Thompson, Cara Delevigne, Mahershala Ali, Rachel Brosnahan, Iman, Josh Groban, Kate Bosworth, Alyssa Milano, Glennon Doyle, Abby Wambach, Katie Eder and multiple young Americans. Directed by Gabrielle Gorman.

"As we approached the most important vote of our lifetimes, I felt like our country needed a PSA that felt lyrical and anthemic. With that vision, I wrote this poem in a spurt of inspiration the day that RBG passed. The rest came together very organically--my twin sister Gabrielle came on to direct and I texted all the celebs on my speed dial hoping they'd join. It was heartwarming to get so many eager yeses from phenomenal talent and exciting to partner with RAD. If viewers take one thing away, I hope it's that no matter our party, we all want a brighter future. But it's something we have to vote into existence."

RAD partnered with Amanda to help with talent outreach and amplifying her campaign across six voting organizations, including I Am A Voter, When We All Vote, Vote.org, Rock The Vote, Vote Save America and 2020 Up To Us, thereby maximizing reach while creating an inclusive voting approach that gave audiences a choice on how to make their voting plans.
